MOCHA MOUSSE AND MARBLE: PANTONE’S COLOR OF THE YEAR 2025 IN DESIGN

Mocha Mousse has been chosen by Pantone as the Color of the Year for 2025. Which marbles and natural stones are reminiscent of this color? And how can we use them in interior design? Let’s find out together.

MOCHA MOUSSE: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW COLOR OF THE YEAR 2025

This year Pantone has chosen a warm brown that evokes the richness of the scents, tastes and nuances of cocoa, chocolate and coffee, a color that captures the global spirit of the times.

Mocha Mousse is a soft, relaxing brown that is a reflection of our desire for comfort and simple pleasures. Its rustic yet sophisticated elegance means it can be used on its own or as a versatile base color to enhance a wide range of palettes, from the most minimal to the most detailed designs.

MOCHA MOUSSE ACCORDING TO MARMO ELITE

When we work with natural stone, we are surrounded by a thousand shades of color on a daily basis. In our showroom, we can find some materials that are very similar to Mocha Mousse and that evoke the same feelings of comfort and well-being, of harmony and relaxation, of serenity and authenticity.

Bronzite and Brown Chocolate

Bronzite and Brown Chocolate are quartzites sourced from Brazil, whose intense chocolate color is warm and enveloping. Durable and versatile, they are perfect for interior wall cladding, such as the walls of a modern designer bathroom or a luxurious and cozy living room.

PALETTES AND COMBINATIONS FOR MOCHA MOUSSE

Mocha Mousse is characterized by great versatility combined with simple sophistication. The new Color of the Year 2025 can be used as the basis for both minimalist and more whimsical applications: to this purpose, Pantone has developed five different color palettes capable of conveying and expressing different sensibilities: Relaxed Elegance, Floral Pathways, Deliciousness, Subtle Contrasts and Uniquely Balanced.

Relaxed Elegance

A range of beige, cream, taupe and brown tones. Simplicity and elegance are the buzzwords, giving way for multiple design options.

Well-suited to this palette are our Arabescato Rosa and Calacatta Nobile, two marbles with a sophisticated soul and contemporary elegance.

Floral Pathways

A cornucopia of suggestively fragrant floral tones, mixed with a soft mocha and a shaded willow green, leads you along a path of grey pebbles. For this palette, we recommend onyx inspiration: a green or light-blue onyx is perfect for creating delicate, harmonious contrasts.

Uniquely Balanced

A balanced, colorful and slightly exotic grouping of warm and cool tones, whose vibrancy is well tempered by the warm neutrality of Mocha Mousse. Amazonite, Imperial Yellow and Gioiello Onyx are perfect for this combination. They are natural stones with intense and vivid colors, capable of evoking emotions.

Deliciousness

An exquisite palette of bold, bright colors inspired by the sweetness of confectionery.

Our range of Pink Onyxes cannot be missed: different shades and intensities for a result that is always striking and dramatic.

Subtle Contrasts

Refined shades of brown are combined with subtle contrasts of blue and grey to convey a message of classicism and versatility. Ivory Onyx, Scorpion Onyx and Sky Onyx present themselves as the perfect materials to match Mocha Mousse.
